A Rocket to the Moon is scheduled to perform Friday night at the Clubhouse Music Venue in Tempe.

With Monday being Martin Luther King Day, chances are most of you are gonna get three whole days of relaxation and recreation this weekend (that is, unless "the man" is making you drag your ass to the salt mines).

Because we don't want you to fritter away this extra day of freedom in front of the boob tube, we're expanded our weekly round-up of weekend concerts to some of the music and club events will be happening over the holiday.

There's gonna be plenty to do. So instead of watching Law & Order re-runs, try stopping by Margaret T. Hance Park in the afternoon for the all-day MLK Festival, followed by a trip to Modified Arts later that night to catch the chic indie rockers of Brave Citizens. PHX Nightclub will also be hosting the Grown & Sexy MLK Weekend Finale with five different DJs broadcasting hip-hop and urban dance hits throughout the evening.

We've also got the 411 on all the other major music events happening over the next few days (like A Rocket to the Moon's performance on Friday at the Clubhouse Music Venue in Tempe), which can be found following the jump.
