As many others will inevitably do during the holiday season, Elizabeth Quintanilla (a.k.a. DJ Alkemé) is planning on serving up some sweet treats to her nearest and dearest. But instead of peppermint pinwheels and peanut butter bars, the 32-year-old she-jay's confections are of the auditory variety. Quintanilla is planning on spinning up a swanky selection of nu-jazz, neo-soul, and house tracks during the monthly Cookies & Cream affair on Thursday, December 16, at the Hotel San Carlos, 202 North Central Avenue. Meanwhile, beat-matching buddies Mara, Disko Da, and DJ DWNTWN will offer up versatile mixes that run the gamut from drum 'n' bass and moombahton to indie dance and broken beats. The music starts at 9 p.m. Call 602-253-4121.
