One-time red hot Valley rock band Fivespeed may very well be poised to make a comeback. The band, who haven't released an album since their 2006 Virgin Records debut Morning Over Midnight, have lined up some gigs. They opened for Stereotyperider at Yucca Tap Room back in February for the band's CD release party and are scheduled to headline Phoenix's Joe's Grotto Saturday, June 13. That show will also feature 32 Leaves, who were also a buzz band in the 480 once upon a time, and Versed in Grey. Doors are at 8 p.m. and cover is $10.
If you haven't seen this band live, we recommend heading out to this rare show. Though the guys rock hard on their albums, their adrenaline-packed live show is what the group is really about.
And while Fivespeed's MySpace offers some very old information aside from this new show date, we're keeping our fingers crossed that the band is back on the horizon and here to stay with a new disc on the way.
