The line up of Within These Walls has been changing a bit over the past couple weeks, but it looks like it's close to being locked down. A headliner was recently announced, and it's none other than seminal New York hardcore punk heroes, H2O.

It's been a good six years since the band played in Arizona. Lately, H2O has favored east coast and international dates, making west coast stops sparse. Things have been relatively quiet for H2O since they last came to town, in spite of releasing their first album in seven years, Nothing to Prove, in 2008.

In honor of their fifteen-year anniversary, the band toured a bit last year, most notably playing on a boat in Manhattan. Booze-free cruises aren't all the band has been up to -- they are currently working on a cover CD paying tribute to some of their favorite punk bands. Should be interesting coming from a band that covered Madonna's "Like a Prayer."

H2O isn't the only reason to check out Within These Walls, a huge festival utilizing both of The Nile Theater's stages on Saturday, September 24. The festival celebrates the sense of community and self-discovery that dominates the hardcore scene.

The promoters explain it all here:

H2O is joined by an impressive line up of local and nationally known bands including Stretch Armstrong, Most Precious Blood, Touche Amore, Cruel Hand, Where Eagles Dare, Gaza, Landmine Marathon, and many more.

All ages tickets are $20-25. This is not a show to miss, considering H2O's tour history.
