If you spend all year fantasizing about what your Halloween costume is going to be, you're probably stoked that the holiday is right around the corner. From weaving your way through terrifying corn mazes to stuffing your face with candy, there's a lot of ways to celebrate.

Those who prefer Halloween filled with live music or selections from a DJ might wanna check out one of these 11 shows and parties where bands and beats abound. Many of them have costume contests, too. And that outfit idea you think is so great could get you some cash or prizes.

Sixth Annual Two-Day Punk Rock Halloween Bash

When: Friday, October 27, at 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 28, at 7 p.m.
Where: Yucca Tap Room
Wow, what a lineup! X, Devo, Social Distortion, and Misfits all on one bill? Well, sort of. This annual Halloween event has area musicians and groups performing as some of their punk rock favorites. And yeah, they’re probably gonna dress up like the bands they’re covering, too, for a full Halloween experience. See sets by faux versions of Rancid, The Cramps, and G.G. Allin, too, along with others mentioned.

Tattoo shop hosts halloween party

Inkenstein Halloween Bash
When: Saturday, October 28, at 8 p.m.
Where: Inkenstein Tattoo Company, in Glendale
The folks at Inkenstein love to throw a party. And this Halloween event is a chance for you to dress up, enter the costume contest, and see if you can win a prize. Lifesize Monsters will perform, along with other bands TBA. Phoenix Slope Records will co-host, and DJ John Rose from westside record store the Record Room will spin. This is a kegger for those 21 and older.

Trap or Treat Teen Halloween Party

When: Saturday, October 28, from 3 to 7 p.m.
Where: Celebrity Theatre
Fresh Empire presents this teen-friendly party featuring live music from Ali Tomineek. Power 98.3 will also be helping entertain attendees, along with some special guests. Like any good Halloween party, this one will have a costume contest with prizes for winners. The event offers free refreshments, too.

Fright Club with the Echo Bombs
When: Saturday, October 28, at 9 p.m.
Where: Rogue Bar in Scottsdale
Local band Echo Bombs are ready to celebrate the Halloween holiday by giving you a night to party and celebrate with a soundtrack provided by area rockers. They’ll play a set, of course, and the rest of the multiband line-up includes Phantom Party, Weird Radicals, and JJCnV.

Halloween Punx
When: Wednesday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m.
Where: The Trunk Space
Get rowdy just days before the actual Halloween holiday with a bunch of fast ‘n’ ferocious punk bands. Join Kill Your T.V., Zero Degrees North, Simple Malfunction, and Overpriced America for some mid-week fun that should energize you through the weekend.

Haunted Hotel Ball
When: Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28; hours vary
Where: Saguaro Hotel, in Scottsdale
There’s plenty of ways to have fun at this hotel soiree, which is also the official bash of 104.7 KISS FM. There’s an opening party, a pool party, and then the big main event. The opening event features a live performance by EDM DJ and Grammy-nominated producer, Dirty South. The beats will be pounding for dancing throughout both days. The costume contest is awarding $2,500 in cash and prizes.

Raven’s 12th Annual Halloween Bash
When: Saturday, October 28
Where: The Showroom at Talking Stick Resort, in Scottsdale
If you’re showing up to this party, be ready to dance. There’s a giant floor with your name on it. And make sure your costume is on point, ‘cause throughout the night, staff members will hand-pick their faves to take part in the costume contest. Categories include best male costume, best female costume, and best couple costume. Cash and prizes are at stake. Live music offerings include the band Superhero, a five-piece party band who will be all costumed up for the affair. DJ Kilo will also provide energetic tunes.

Zombie Prom
When: Saturday, October 28, at 7 p.m.
Where: Boondocks Patio & Grill in Scottsdale
Nothing says Halloween like zombies. Get dressed up like the living dead would if they were attending a prom and have fun dancing to live music. The Black Moods are on deck that night to deliver their guitar-driven rock 'n' roll. There’s also some drink promotions happening during the night.

Night of the Witch
When: Tuesday, October 31, at 7:30 p.m.
Where: The Rogue Bar in Scottsdale
This Scottsdale live music venue is having a Halloween costume party that includes live music all night. Five bands are gonna keep your spirits up: Rockin’ Chair, Mill’s End, Angels & Aliens, Enparoxysmo, and Led Chains. Enjoy free food and treats throughout the event.

Wicked Ball
When: Saturday, October 28, at 9 p.m.
Where: Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale
This three-room party will feature a carnival room, an outdoor lounge, and live entertainment. See performances from EDM superstars Adventure Club with support from The Him. The morning team from 101.5's Morning Mess program will emcee the costume contest where $10,000 dollars will be split between 10 winners, with the grand prize winner taking home $3,500.
