There's no denying that Ingrid Michaelson is an indie-rock success story. The singer has sold many, many copies of her 2007 album Girls and Boys. Michaelson's "The Way I Am" was featured heavily in an Old Navy ad campaign and her track "Keep Breathing" received some buzz after being played on the '07 season finale of Grey's Anatomy. The singer and her lyrics became Google's two most popular searches, and her disc, which topped the Billboard Heatseeker and Alternative New Artist Album charts, ultimately sold more than 1.5 million copies as a result. Her tour with Dave Matthews saw her opening to 20,000-plus capacity arenas. And she has released two more albums, Be OK in 2008 and Everybody in August. "This is my big-girl record," Michaelson said of the latter. "This album is very autobiographical. It's about the past year and a half of my life and choices that I've made." The singer is already getting some buzz off "Maybe," the album's single. The song became the most-added track on Billboard's Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks, tying with Madonna and Kelly Clarkson.
