Joey Bradfisch
Bradfisch is a producer for the Johnjay and Rich radio morning show on 104.7 KISS-FM. His segment, What'cha Doin At The Courthouse?, airs on the station every Friday at 7:40 a.m.
When you put your key in the ignition and turn on the radio, what station would play? I'm partial to KISS in the car in the mornings because it keeps me up driving at 3:30 a.m.! I'm a big fan of talk radio in general, so the rest of my car time is occupied by that -- seeing what everyone else in radio around the country is doing.
What's the first album you bought? Since I grew up being a complete dork, I think it was the Star Wars soundtrack bundled with the Cherry Poppin' Daddies. (I can't believe I said that.)
What's the first concert you saw? Boston was my first real concert, and it rocked. Unless the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles live counts? [Editor's Note: YES, it counts.]
What's your favorite concert you've ever been to? KISS and Aerosmith. Believe it or not, KISS was the better of the two.
What's the last song played on your music player? "Otis," by Jay-Z and Kanye West.
Preferred format: CD, vinyl, cassette, 8-Track or digital? I'm all digital. May not sound the best, but it is the most accessible.
Who is your favorite singer or band? Favorite singer is, without a doubt, Freddie Mercury. Nobody worked a crowd like he did.
Does your computer track how many times you've played something -- if so, what's at the top of the list? It doesn't, but if it did, I'm sure it would be, "Somebody to Love," by Queen.
What was your favorite new or new-to-you album from 2011? This isn't really new, but I've really gotten into Billy Joel lately.
What one song would you play if you had a world-wide radio audience? Rolling Stones, "You Can't Always Get What You Want," because it's so true.
Who is your favorite local artist? Weird Is the New Cool. Think Sublime and Gym Class Heroes had a child.
What is your favorite local venue to see music? Comerica Theatre. You could put just about any artist in there, and it's still intimate.
What is your favorite music video? Weezer, "Buddy Holly". Such a cool video and still holds up. Honorable mention is Nine Inch Nails, "Closer".
