After Up On The Sun broke the news about legendary Valley broadcaster Dave Pratt making an imminent return to radio Sunday he took to his blog on AZCentral to confirm, promising "Full details on our new show with the Republic/azcentral's Larry Rodgers coming soon."

It's great to see ol' Larry Rodgers, the Republic's long-time pop music writer, occasionally get a scoop outside the confines of Cold Stone. And Pratt does get paid to blog there, so this article will fit with his passion for writing about his co-workers.

But there's something else worth dissecting in Pratt's post: An announcement that The Morning Mayor has selected a new sidekick for his radio show.

Her name is Kassi Jade and she looks exactly like someone named Kassi Jade should. She's a 22-year-old small-agency model who came to Tempe from Montana, and she graduated from Arizona's third most prestigious state university back in May. Hey, if there's one thing I've learned in my life, it's that very pretty 22-year-old girls have a lot of interesting, topical things to say gleaned from their many very important and inspirational life experiences. I sooo can't wait.

But, at the risk of sounding misogynistic, I will humbly submit that Ms. Jade's speaking talents were not the only factor in her rapid ascent.

Now, I don't want to sell the girl short: True, she's worked as an Assistant Producer for Johnjay and Rich since graduating, doing bits like the one described on a now-defunct Twitter account thusly:

"We just did new bit on @johnjayandric called "weirdest favors!" One lady was asked 2 breast feed her friends kid bc she 4got formula. NICE!"

She also has strong opinions on how important it is to keep the N-word in Huckleberry Finn ("Don't touch history. #sacred") and the adorability of tea dates at The Phoenician (very).

Awesome, right?

But seriously, here are the pictures...
