Lil Wayne is considering retiring after he releases his upcoming album Tha Carter IV, according to One Thirty BPM.
Just when I was nearly convinced that Lil Wayne would release more Roman numeral-labeled Tha Carter albums until I die, Weezy decided he will possibly call it quits.
Part of the reason for his potential retirement is that he wants to go out while he's still somewhat on top. His other reason is more down to earth. "I honestly think it's unfair to my kids," Weezy said in a recent interview with XXL.
Considering his post-prison slump, he might have the right idea here. Then again, no rapper ever stays true to their word when they declare retirement, so perhaps fans of Lil Wayne will have more music to look forward to far in the future.
