Put on your experimental rock shoes and walk down to the Clubhouse in Tempe this Friday to catch the Philly foursome mewithoutYou. The band will be playing tracks off their fourth and latest album, It's All Crazy! It's All False! It's All a Dream! It's Alright!

mewithoutYou's stop in The Valley marks one week since they started their two month tour of the United States.

Formed by brothers Aaron and Michael Weiss in 2001, mewithoutYou has been consistently one of the most creative indie/folk/experimental acts out there, winning mtvU's Left Field award for most original artist in 2005 and releasing a dual vinyl-only album with Norma Jean in 2002.

They should also get an award for most original tour bus: riding in a 40-foot Charter Bus built in 1976 that runs on vegetable oil waste. It's yummy and good for the environment!

mewithoutYou's lyrics are not some kind of throw-away words that sound good next to music, Aaron Weiss writes about such diverse topics as love, war and God. The group seems to have a revolving door of bass players. Currently Greg Jehanian is the fifth guy to slap for the group.

The show starts at 7:00 p.m.
