It's been awhile, but for the first time since 2013, Mumford and Sons are making their way back to Phoenix for a concert at Ak-Chin Pavilion.

Fans will have to wait until Wednesday, October 5, to get their fix.

Yes, Alice Cooper once called Mumford & Sons an "offence to rock 'n' roll," but he probably didn't mean much by it. Not like it will stop fans from flooding Ak-Chin Pavilion like the last time the band came through town, when the venue was known as Desert Sky Pavilion.

The band hasn't slowed down since the last time it came through. The group's third studio album, Wilder Mind, came out in 2015, and it topped the charts in both the United States and England.

The group is calling the tour the "Austin 5000" tour, which will take the group on a 5,000-mile road trip in between appearances at Austin City Limits.

Tickets go on sale Friday at noon at www.livenation.com.
