Every day is like Sunday um, I mean, Thursday for Robden Brethauer and DJ Manchester, the impresarios behind Panic!, the long-running weekly Britpop/indie/shoegazer/New Wave night that came to an end in March. This Thursday, July 29, theyre reprising the event at its old home, Andersons Fifth Estate in Scottsdale, with a party worthy of the Mozzer himself. Besides offering a mix of the New Romantic generation of bands, Panic! is doubling as an Astralwerks party, and patrons will receive an Astralwerks sampler CD along with admission. There will also be giveaways of CDs and concert tickets (for the Psychedelic Furs, Dramarama, Concrete Blonde, and the Cures Curiosa Tour, even). Cover is only $5, doors open at 8 p.m., and well drinks are only a buck before 10 p.m.
