This is really a good news/bad news situation.
Bad news: Spoken Boutique is closing.
Good news: They're having a 60% off sale on all merchandise.
More good news: They're closing because the owners are moving out of town, not because of the economy. Phew!
The small retail shop along the north side of Roosevelt (in the same strip as Tammie Coe and Perihelion Arts) has provided downtown fashionistas with threads by local, national, and international designers for the past four years.
Here's what owner, Amber Dennison, had to say on the store's blog:
To our loyal customers,
We are sad, yet happy to announce we will be closing our Downtown Phoenix store. Jodi and myself are moving on! I have decided to get married and move to KC with my soon-to-be husband Brett and Jodi is already established in Seattle with her fiance Jay!
We have appreciated your business over the last 4 years and hope we have impacted your lives as much as you have ours. Without your help, we could not have seen our passion for fashion become such a success. In honor of the closing, we'd like to personally invite you to take advantage of our discounts and sales. All clothing including labels such as Black Halo, Nicole Miller and William Rast are 60% off. We would love for you to come by to enjoy these great prices as we close this wonderful chapter in our lives. We look forward to seeing you and thank you again for business.
Sincerely,
Amber Dennison
Store Owner
Like I said, bad news/good news.
The official closing is set to happen at the end of March.
