When a band has to make up a genre name to describe its music, it's easy to suspect said band lacks focus. Not so with Tempe-based band The VeraGroove, as their self-coined "desert reggae rock 'n' roll" label works pretty well. The band, which says it seeks to unite listeners in various scenes, stayed true to the cause when building the lineup for the release of the Travelin' Man EP, a four-song effort recorded at Tucson's Wavelab Studios. The VeraGroove recruited six diverse acts, including Captain Squeegee and Katastro, for their upcoming concert, which will include graphics and video presentations with the music. Get ready for a slew of new tracks at the show, because the band also has an acoustic album and full LP in the works.
