Friday August 8: The Crystal Method at Myst
The Crystal Method started recording in an abandoned bomb shelter. It's terribly appropriate, I would say, as their tracks tend to explode with a furious electronic force.
Check out The Crystal Method's remix of "Jack's Suite" from Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Since the formation of the band in 1993, they've recorded four albums (with a fifth supposedly on the way in 2008) and appeared on soundtracks ranging from Zoolander to Romeo Must Die and even video games like Dance Dance Revolution and Donkey Konga. Not bad for a couple of dudes from California.

Saturday August 9: Fright Night at Atomic Comics
Before Josh Hartnett battled against blood suckers in the film 30 Days of Night the story of Barrow Alaska being menaced by the undead was a comic series by the same name. Meet the comic creators Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith this Saturday during Fright Night at Atomic Comics.
Horror-inspired music from the likes of Calabrese, The Spider Hold and The Devil Bats begins at 8 p.m.
For more information, check out the Atomic Comics Web site.
Sunday August 10: Guitar Hero Aerosmith at Hard Rock Cafe
With Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour still a long way off, the gods of rhythm-based video gaming have seen fit to issue us a mere pittance to tide our plastic fret board-weary fingers over. There's nothing quite like a cameo appearance in a video game to inject new life into a dying rock band like Aerosmith.
Fans of the new game might walk out of Hard Rock Cafe with a trip to see the band and rock out (virtually) for their pleasure. Dance, monkey! Dance!
