Friday, August 22: Manzanita Speedway's 57th Annual Anniversary Race Weekend
Manzanita Speedway will kick off it's two day celebration remembering 57 years of high-octane racing tonight. Expect to see Barnett Dirt Modifieds Dwarf Cars, Sport Modifieds, Factory Stocks and Bombers."
This is a family affair, so don't hesitate to pack Spridal and Chim-Chim into the Mach 5 and head out to the speedway.

Saturday, August 23: Dave Matthews Band at Cricket Wireless Pavillion
LeRoi Moore, Dave Matthews Band saxophonist and founding member, died Tuesday due to complications after he survived an ATV accident. So far this weekend's show at Cricket Wireless Pavillion has yet to be canceled.
Since Moore's initial accident, Jeff Cofflin from Bela Fleck and Flecktones has subbed in as the band's saxophonist on tour.

Sunday, August 24: Across the Universe showing at Scottsdale Civic Center Library
Given that a previous Beatles movie, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band starred The Bee Gee's and Peter Framption in one of cinemas great movie flops, just about any other Beatles movie would have to be (at the very least) better than that.
Find out for yourself if the most recent attempt to milk the Fab Four is worth your time without paying any money during this screening of Across the Universe at Scottsdale Civic Center Library.
