Looking for love in all the wrong places? Here's one more.
The producers of ABC's The Bachelor will be holding open casting calls this week, right here in the Valley.
On Thursday at 5 p.m., single ladies can audition to win the heart of an undisclosed bachelor, and duke it out with a collection of women from across the country for his affection.
The auditions will be held at Intercontinental Montelucia Resort and Spa in Paradise Valley, but producers warn that if you're only "kind of single," don't show up.
In the past, some reality dating shows like Rock of Love, which featured an aged Brett Michaels and dozens of ditsy suitors, found that many of the girls who claimed to be single actually had boyfriends, and in some cases fiances.
The folks at The Bachelor hope to avoid that sort of embarrassing situation (as if the show isn't embarrassing enough) by setting some ground rules: Candidates must be at least 21 years old and single. Single means no husband, or someone you are in the process of divorcing or are only separated from, and no boyfriend or monogamous dating relationship of more than two months.
Warning ladies: Go tell your boyfriend of two months that you are going to be on The Bachelor, and you will probably quickly become a very single bachelorette.
There is no word of how the producers feel about "friends with benefits," but for a complete list of eligibility requirements, here ya go.
