Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery has his own version of Clint Eastwood's "empty chair" routine, and although the Montgomery video is kind of creepy, it's a lot more accurate than the Eastwood performance.
See, President Obama actually exists, whereas Montgomery's Democratic opponent does not.
The Montgomery performance is in an online video released by his campaign -- a campaign that's pretty much a formality. Montgomery's only opponent is Libertarian Michael Kielsky; Montgomery got nearly three times as many votes as Kielsky in 2010.
Missing, of course, is a Democrat.
Believe it or not, there are more Democrat-type lawyers in Maricopa County than there are unicorns, and the county has more registered Democrats (503,131) than there are leprechauns. Sure, nobody wants to set themselves up for the slaughter, but Democrats just saying "nope" to running against Montgomery looks pathetic too.
