A 36-year-old Chandler man is behind bars after police say he stabbed his neighbor to death. Oh, yeah, he allegedly chopped the guy's head off, too.

Police were called to a house in the 300 block of West Fairview Drive in Chandler early yesterday morning.

When they got there, they found the gruesome scene.

The victim, an unidentified Hispanic man in his 30s, was found inside the apartment stabbed to death and decapitated. His head was found a few feet away.

The suspect, Crisantos Moroyoqui, was arrested later in the day.

Police say Mororoyoqui had been living near the victim and it appears the two knew each other prior to the decapitation.

He's been booked on second-degree murder and hindering prosecution charges.

Police say the case will remain open as detectives investigate the murder. Anyone with information is asked to call the Cahndler Police Department at 480-782-4130.
