Charles "Hos" Hoskins, Maricopa County treasurer, has sued the county supervisors over computer issues and told them to pound sand recently when they asked for ideas on budget cuts.
Now, all of a sudden, his daughter, Robin Hoskins, is being touted by county attorney Andrew Thomas as a "courageous" court employee who wants to expose the bias of Kenneth Fields, the retired judge Thomas wants kicked off the criminal case of Don Stapley, one of the county supervisors. A news release about Robin Hoskins put out by Thomas' office on Wednesday, which was covered in this blog, says nothing about this interesting familiar connection.
Of course, the relationship may be nothing but sheer coincidence, and we have little respect for half-baked conspiracy theories.
Still, the county board of supervisors must be starting to get the feeling they're at the bottom of a growing political dog pile. -- Ray Stern
