To Whom It May Concern:
My brother, Randolph Lucero was murdered in his home on January 26th, 2007 and was left for his daughter to find him on January 27th, 2007 lying dead in his apartment in a pool of blood. We the family will be traveling into Arizona this weekend to hold our 2nd Candle Light Vigil in his honor, memory and in hopes to have the help of all of you, THE MEDIA, help us to plea to the public for any information in regards to the person(s) who so brutally took my brother's life. We need you all, so that we can ask the public for help and any information that will capture the person(s) who did this. There is still someone out there that has no conscience or respect for human life. We will have family there that will be more than willing to speak to the media for any type of interview (in English or Spanish), so I please ask that you come to our vigil on January 26th @ 6 pm on 6521 E. University in Mesa, Arizona. This is the apartment complex where the murder took place and where we held the vigil last year. He was pronounced dead on January 27th but were told that the police think he was left there dead for possibly 24 hours. There has been NO significant leads on his case in the last 2 years and we believe that someone out there knows something and will some day come forward. The Silent Witness and the Maricopa Sheriff's Office has been on this case and have worked with us on this manner.
My brother was a father of three kids, a grandfather of one and was one of the most caring, loving, & sensitive people I knew. He was in the car business for almost 20 years and most of his career was there in the Phoenix areas. He was the type of person if you met him you would never forget him. He was always happy, smiling and full of life!! He raised his two daughters as a single father when the girls were 4 & 5 years old. He loved his family very much, especially his father in which Randy proceeded in death. Our father passed away in 2002 from a massive heart attack and it destroyed Randy to no end to lose his dad, his best friend and his hero in life!! He was the best brother that I know, I would do all he could to always be there and spend time with his brothers and sisters. Randy is remembered and loved by his mother, Frances Lucero, grandmother, Georgia Sandoval, two brothers: Jake & Abran Lucero and two sisters: Denise Lucero & Nadine Lucero-Thomason and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is missed dearly and loved by us all!!!

Silent Witness
On January 27th of 2007 at 12:18 a.m. Randolph Lucero was found murdered in his apartment at 6521 E. University, Mesa Arizona. Investigators have very few leads and still ask for assistance from the community in identifying the suspect/s in this case.
Randolph's family have made a commitment to hold a candle light vigil every year, on the anniversary of his death until his case is solved. The Randolph family will be holding the vigil on Monday, January 26th, 6:00 p.m. at 6521 E. University in Mesa. Family members will be traveling from around the country to attend and are willing to speak to the media in an effort to express their love for Randolph and with the hope that someone will utilize Silent Witness to provide tips on the case.
