"Mr. Bill," a.k.a. Billy Stephen Bryant, a former bus driver accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl, pleaded guilty in Maricopa County Superior Court today to two counts of child molestation and one count of aggravated assault of a minor.
Bryant, police say, drove to the Mesa home of the victim, where she was playing outside in front of her house. Bryant, who knew the girl before the alleged groping, waved the girl over to the car, in which another minor girl was sitting.
The victim obeyed, and as she approached the car, Bryant got out, put his arm around her, and grabbed her behind, according to court documents obtained by New Times.
We only know all this because, thankfully, the girl's father was in the house watching from an upstairs window.
Once Bryant lured the girl into the car, he pulled out a green back
massager and started to use it on the girl's back -- and her vagina.
The father, meanwhile, ran out of the house to rescue his daughter from
"Mr. Bill." He pulled the girl from the car and started yelling at
Bryant. Bryant took off, but not before the father of the victim got a
glimpse of his license plate.
Police tracked the plate to a car parked in the driveway of Bryant's house and arrested him.
Believe it or not, this isn't the first time Bryant's been in trouble for groping a child.
In October of 2009, while a bus driver at the Legacy Charter School,
Bryant was fired for a similar incident, where he grabbed the butt and vagina of another young
girl.
Bryant's next court appearance is scheduled for January 13. He's being held without bond at a
Maricopa Count Jail.
