A Phoenix man was arrested this morning after police found in his home hundreds of videos and images of kiddie-porn that investigators are calling "some of the most egregious child porn" they've seen in a long time.
John Landrum Jr., 52, was booked into a Maricopa County jail this morning on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Police say additional charges are possible.
What makes Landrum's alleged brand of kiddy-porn any more depraved than your run-of-the-mill chomo flick is unclear at the moment -- Phoenix police declined to get into specific details. Police also declined to share details about Landrum -- where he works, any family, etc.
Phoenix Sergeant Tommy Thompson says police were "directed towards"
Landrum, but wouldn't say how (if police provide details about how they
track kiddie-porn, other perverts could be tipped off).
We have a feeling there's more to this story than what police were
willing to discuss at this afternoon's press conference -- Thompson
advised reporters to "do your homework" on Landrum, which we're in the process of doing.
Stay tuned -- we should have Landrum Jr's arrest report in the morning.
