A Yavapai County man was arrested last week after police say he's been producing, distributing, and possibly starring in kiddy-porn films recorded at his Rimrock home for the last nine years.
Yavapai County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn tells New Times 29-year-old David Antonio Rodriguez was taken into custody last week at his house where police say he's spent the better part of a decade producing and distributing kiddy-porn over the Internet.
D'Evelyn says police got a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children
Task Force that Rodriguez was peddling porn over the Web and conducted
their own investigation.
The YCSO's investigation led to a search warrant for Rodriguez's home
where officers hit the kiddy-porn mother load.
According to D'Evelyn, officers found numerous images and videos of
child pornography in Rodriguez's Rimrock digs and after interviewing the
alleged perv, Rodriguez copped to owning, creating, and distributing
the porn.
Through the course of the investigation, D'Evelyn says detectives
learned Rodriguez had been molesting children ages 5-14 -- with whom he
was an acquaintance -- for nine years.
Rodriguez was booked at the Camp Verde Detention Center on multiple
charges including 7 counts of sexual contact with a minor, 1 count
engaging in 3 or more acts of child molestation, and 17 counts of
commercial sexual exploitation of a minor. He remains in-custody without
bond and is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow.
