A teacher at a Surprise high school was arrested earlier today for allegedly sexually abusing his 13-year-old niece.

Marcos Cantu, 39, a teacher at Valley Vista High School is Surprise, has been charged with one count of sexual abuse for allegedly groping his niece as he drove her home from school.

The niece, a student at an elementary school near the high school at which Cantu teaches, told authorities that she and her uncle were driving home from school when, after an inappropriate, sexual conversation, Cantu reached over and grabbed the girl's breasts over her clothes.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, Cantu has been a math teacher and a wrestling coach at the school for the last four years. Before teaching at Valley Vista High School, Cantu was a teacher at Sunrise Mountain High School in Peoria.

The MCSO says it's received no information that Cantu abused anyone else, but say there could be more victims.

Anyone with information about more potential victims of Cantu's is asked to call the MCSO at 602 876 1087.
