US Airways announced today it will relax ticketing policies for passengers scheduled this week to fly to, from, or through a slew of cities in Mexico. The Wall Street Journal reports this morning that American Airlines is making a similar move.
The Phoenix-based airline's Web site says passengers scheduled for travel in certain Mexican cities can, under certain conditions, change their flights without paying the standard penalty fees. The airline posted the news on Friday for flights to and from Mexico City, but today added a list of popular tourist destinations:
*Acapulco, Mexico *Cabo/Los Cabos *Cancun *Cozumel *Guadalajara *Guaymas *Hermosillo *Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo *Manzanillo *Mazatlan *Puerto Vallarta
So much for that late spring break.
