While Tampa Bay Rays all-star third baseman Evan Longoria is swinging away in Florida as his team prepares for the upcoming season, thieves back in Arizona took off with his $75,000 Chevy Camaro.

Longoria's 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS was one of two cars stolen out of the parking lot of a Chandler company between Saturday and Sunday. The other vehicle: a 1970 Buick GSX valued at $25,000, according to police.

Thieves tried to steal a third car -- a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle -- but failed.

Chandler police Detective David Ramer tells New Times that no one at the baseball organization has answered the phone, so police couldn't yet release the name of the player.

Thankfully, Ramer did tell us he was an all-star infielder, and then we stumbled across this YouTube video, with "Evan Longoria" inscribed atop the engine, and a license plate matching that of the police report.

So, Mr. Longoria, if you're reading this, your Camaro is probably in several hundred pieces at a Phoenix chop-shop right now -- so you might want to call the Chandler Police Department.
