The Tempe Police Department is looking for a guy who tried to kidnap an 11-year-old girl this morning. He failed, and now police need your help finding him.

Police say the girl was riding her bike to Fees Middle School near Baseline Road and Lakeshore Drive just before 7 a.m. today, when she was approached by an unidentified man.

The man got out of his car and grabbed the girl's arm but she fought him off and was able to get away -- unfortunately, so did the suspect.

The girl managed to run to a nearby Wendy's, where she called her parents.

Now, police need your help tracking down the suspect.

The suspect is described as an unshaven, white male with glasses and black, wavy hair. He is about 5-foot-8 and was wearing green, plaid shorts and a gray tee-shirt at the time of the attempted abduction.

The description of the suspect's car might be a bit more helpful.

The suspect was driving a small red shiny 4-door car with a spoiler, shiny spoke wheels and dark tinted windows.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311.
