Another poll of the race for governor shows a tie between Republican Doug Ducey and Democrat Fred DuVal.
This poll released this week by the New York Times, CBS News, and YouGov is now the third poll since the primary election to show a tie between Ducey and DuVal.

Based on interviews with nearly 3,300 people, 34 percent of people opted for Ducey, and 33 percent picked DuVal, which is within the margin of error. The rest of the people picked other (15 percent), not sure (9 percent), leaning Democrat (5 percent) or leaning Republican (4 percent).
People from both sides of the aisle can find some positive news from this poll.
For Democrats, it's another reassurance that DuVal can make the race competitive, as you would assume that Ducey is the front-runner, given that the current administration is Republican.
But here's one take from the right, from political consultant Sean Noble:

— Sean Noble (@seannobledc) September 11, 2014That's true, Ducey was picked more by Independent voters, but when they were asked about ideology -- whether the person is liberal, conservative, or moderate -- the self-proclaimed moderates picked DuVal over Ducey by a 44-23 margin.
This New York Times/CBS/YouGov poll was conducted from August 18 to September 2 -- well before last night's debate between the two candidates.
The two other polls conducted around that same time, from Rasmussen Reports and Public Policy Polling, found similar portions of undecided or third-party voters as well.
