Number 35: Antipasto platter at Pizzeria Bianco

The Wiseguy pizza gets all the love (without a doubt, I'm obsessed with that pizza, which is topped with fennel sausage and roasted onions), but I realize my true love at Pizzeria Bianco isn't actually the pizza. It's the antipasto.

This is because I can enjoy different pies depending on my mood, but I simply cannot show up here without ordering the antipasto. If I had one request to eat something before I die, it would be this.

Of course, Chris Bianco changes things up -- he's on O.G. when it comes to Phoenix's slow food scene, and he's been doing local and seasonal since long before it became trendy. That means the antipasto is never quite the same.

There's always some kind of good cheese (aged provolone, likely), some delicious sopressata, and olives. Beyond that, it's variations on veggies -- roasted red pepper, roasted mushrooms, roasted squash . . . you get the picture. And if yours has a slice of eggplant parm or spinach fritatta, consider yourself very lucky indeed.
