Number 86: Soup gyoza at Sens Asian Tapas & Sake Bar
Sens chef-owner Johnny Chu serves a dish at lunch that has been a longtime favorite of mine, from back in the days when he owned Fate: Black Dragon. I can't tell you how many times I've had this dish -- Chu's amazing black bean sauce with vegetables and tofu or meat -- but I'll never forget the flavor.
But lately I've been passing up the Black Dragon (as much as I love it) for something I crave even more. Chu's soup gyoza are seriously good, and are available both for lunch and dinner. Stuffed with moist pork, cabbage, and salty pork broth, they're bite-sized dumplings that burst in your mouth (so be careful when you sink your teeth into them). Instantly addicting.
