Lobster Cobb salads, artisan pastries, MJ Breads, a coffee program featuring Cartel beans, and an avant-garde floral boutique are coming to the Camelback Corridor by way of Chestnut Fine Foods and Provisions.

Described as "incorporating the refined culinary influences of Los Angeles, New York and London," the new artisan eatery and market will be located in a former office building at 4350 East Camelback Road (northwest corner of Camelback Road and 44th Street).

And if the name (and the lobster Cobb salad) sound vaguely familiar, they are.

Chestnut Fine Foods and Provisions originally opened in 2009 under the moniker Chestnut Lane, chef-owner Polly Levine's short-lived, from-scratch cafe (formerly the coffee shop Kohnie's) located in a 1940s home at 4233 East Camelback. Chestnut Lane closed in 2010 and the spot eventually became the home of Carmel's Coffee.

Calling themselves "devoted supporters of Polly Levine's Chestnut Lane," the owners of Chestnut Fine Foods and Provisions, sisters Marissa Hochman and Kirsten Steele, have avowed to carry on Levine's passion for high-quality and locally sourced eats.

"We've always talked of opening a restaurant," says Steele. "We'd go to trendsetting restaurants or little hideaways and analyze what we were eating. The conversation would always turn to, 'What if we did this?' It was this distant dream."

An opening date for Chestnut Fine Foods and Provisions has not yet been announced. Stay tuned for details.
