Since opening late this spring, Tacos Chiwas has quickly become one of the Valley's hottest dining destinations, inspiring food lovers to flock to the counter-service eatery for freshly made tortillas, slow-simmered meats, and the restaurant's namesake Taco Chiwas, a cheesy, meaty creation inspired by the northern border state of Chihuahua.
In fact, the restaurant's many fans include a number of the Valley's top chefs (stop by for a midweek lunch and you're likely to bump into at least one chef's-coat-wearing diner), including Bitter & Twisted's Bob Tam. Tam recently approached Tacos Chiwas owners Armando Hernandez and Nadia Holguin about a collaborative dinner, and, just like that, later this month the trio will come together for a one-night-only, East-meets-West dinner.
Here are the details: The Bitter & Twisted/Tacos Chiwas Pop-Up Dinner will be held on Sunday, July 31, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Bitter & Twisted Cocktail Parlour. The eight-course dinner costs $58.88 (tax and gratuity included) and tickets can be purchased online.
