Our candy-coated conversation continues today with Brianne Day from The Herb Box. Day has been overseeing baked goods at The Herb Box for more than four years.
I ended up in the kitchen because I've always had a passion for baking. When I was young I would spend every Sunday attempting to bake something
new... I remember it started early with boxed muffins mix for breakfast. Next up cookies and cakes! Having grown up in Seattle, I've always been drawn to the local bakeries, just fascinated with the amazing desserts and
pastries.
My favorite dish to make is To be honest I'm not sure I have a favorite dish to make. My favorite things to do is production. I do enjoy working with pie dough because it's very versatile and you can turn it into many different things. I also love making ganache and custards.
One dish I'm afraid to make is I'm VERY afraid to do any sort of sugar
show pieces. They look so fragile, and I'm not the most fragile person!

My favorite candy is any sour candy. I adore sour straws and sour belts.
Caramel should be nice and soft and toasty with a buttery finish. You should go back for many more pieces without even thinking about it.
I brush my teeth after I go totally crazy on a bag of sour Lifesavers.
