Congrats, DC Ranch. You're getting your own winery.
Decanter Winery & Lounge will open its doors at 18221 N. Pima Road, Suite 100, inside Scottsdale's DC Ranch Crossing, in January 2016. The winery is owned by Bill and Debra McDermott, who moved to Arizona in 2012 from California, where they worked as executives in Information Technology.
The owners, along with Cellar Master Collin Mitzenmacher, will make wines on-site using grapes sourced from all over the world. And in addition to offering a tasting room, where guests can sample the wines, Decanter will serve food and allow guests to make, bottle, and custom label their own wine in winery's on-site fermentation and bottling rooms. Wine lovers will also be able to buy wine club memberships, which will provide perks like VIP access to events and discounts on custom bottling and other purchases.
The winery, which is expected to open in mid-January, will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with live music every weekend.

Editor's Note: This post has been updated from its original version to reflect that the winery formerly known as "Decantur - The Winery at DC Ranch" has changed its name to "Decanter Winery & Lounge" due to a trademark infringement claim.
