Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

One Tamale, Two Tamale ...
Downtown Phoenix is going to be the place to be this weekend. Not only is the 3rd Annual Tequila Fest goin' down but the Food City's 11th Annual Festival del Tamal is happening and if you're a tamale fan, you're not going to want miss this. Downtown Phoenix is shutting down Washington between 1st and 4th Avenues to make room for tamale-makers, arts & crafts vendors, Mariachi bands, dancers and carnival rides to pack the street. Sample traditional and exotic tamales from expert tamale markers from across the state; find your favorite and be sure to stock up for the holiday season. The two-day festival will take place Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. til 6 p.m. which gives you plenty of time to pick up a few tamales before or after you soak your liver in the sweet nectar of the agave gods at the Tequila Festival.

14 Days of December Desserts - Day Five

Booze is a dessert right? It is in our mind and this list wasn't going to be complete without a booze-y rum drink like this Puerto Rican Coquito. Coconut milk, condensed milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and lots of rum. Yum! Recipe here and since it's Friday, just go ahead and one make yourself one for breakfast.
