Being a freelance writer has its perks. I can work in my pajamas if I like, I can do dishes on my "breaks," and I can go to breakfast whenever I feel like it. The only problem is that most people are tucked away in their offices during the week, which forced me to get over my biggest fear -- eating breakfast alone in an actual restaurant.

Armed with a book, I headed to Scottsdale and found myself a nice window seat at this cute French bakery and eatery. I ordered up a beautiful plate of house baked brioche French toast topped with sweet maple syrup and an iced coffee. The coffee wasn't exactly great, but the French toast was amazing. I'll be going back soon -- alone! Do you know where I'm eating?
