We're constantly looking for reasons to make our way over to Lon's at the Hermosa Inn, a gem of a hotel with a kick-ass bar to boot. This summer, Lon's is offering a monthly wine-tasting series for everyone from vino newbies to those with experienced palates -- and all for the incredible price of free.

Beginning May 7, guests can participate in a complimentary wine-tasting series on the first Tuesday of every month. Guests will be able to taste several selections during the series from the hotel's wine program, which offers a list of more then 500 wines.

The tastings will be from 5 to 7 p.m. and will be led by one of Lon's wholesale sellers who can speak about the product and the winemaker. In addition to receiving a one- to two-ounce pour of the wine, featured bottles of wine will be available for 25 percent off on the night of the event. Sommelier Bill Parker also will be on hand to suggest pairings and answer questions about the wine program.

Here's the schedule:

Tuesday, May 7 St. Supéry Cabernet and Ponzi Pinot Gris presented by Young's Market Company

Tuesday, June 4 Dos Cabezas Red and Arizona Stronghold Tazi presented by Quench Fine Wines

Tuesday, July 2 Aia Vecchia Lagone and Elena Walch Pinot Bianco presented by Classico Fine Wines

Tuesday, August 6 Dr. Loosen Red Slate Riesling and Dr. L Riesling presented by Quail Distributing

Reservations are not required for the event. For more information, visit the Lon's at the Hermona Inn website.
