At long last, the wait is over. On Wednesday morning, Matt's Big Breakfast opened its doors at 3118 East Camelback Road. The long-awaited third restaurant takes over the space that once housed restaurant Noca, inside the Biltmore Plaza Shopping Center on the northwest corner of 32nd Street and Camelback Road.

Owner Matt Pool and his wife, Erenia, say the new location blends design elements from both the downtown and Phoenix Sky Harbor restaurants. The downtown restaurant opened in three years ago at 825 North First Street, just up the street from the original location. The Sky Harbor restaurant opened in 2014 and is the only Matt's location to serve dinner in addition to breakfast and lunch.

As we told you late last year, Pool also plans to open a fourth Matt's Big Breakfast, in Tempe, this year. That restaurant will be located inside the Marina Heights development overlooking Tempe Town Lake.

The Biltmore restaurant is the largest Matt's Big Breakfast location yet, Pool says, and will be better able to accommodate large parties than the downtown restaurant. The long, open kitchen with which diners might be familiar from the space's Noca days has been enclosed in frosted glass, and the dining room now features a chalkboard mural, a vintage Safeway sign, and other breakfast-centric touches. The mural, Pool says, reflects the large chalkboard at the downtown restaurant.

Matt's Big Breakfast at 3118 East Camelback Road is open from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. seven days a week. To see the restaurant's menu or for more information, visit the Matt's Big Breakfast website
