You don't have to be ultra-rich to pamper your puppies. Here's a recipe for DIY dog biscuits that costs of next to nothing to make. Best of all, your mutt will go nuts because the treats are packed with garlic. In small quantities, garlic is good for dogs. Some folks even use it as an all-natural flea repellent. You can find the recipe in this link to the You Bake 'Em Dog Biscuits Cookbook by Janine Adams.

Dump everything into a mixer and form a gooey ball of dough. Roll it out and then bust out your best, dog-themed cookie cutters -- you know, the ones you bought on a lark three years ago because you thought they were sooooooo cute but they've been collecting dust in the back of your utensil drawer ever since? Yes, those.

Be careful when deciding what size cookie cutter to use. If you have little dogs, you  may prefer to make extra small treats that would be perfect as little rewards or for training class.

Lay the cookies out on a foil-lined baking sheet. Poke each biscuit with a fork and before they go in the oven, sprinkle garlic powder on the dough if you'd like. They bake in about twenty minutes. Don't be surprised when the biscuits don't rise; there's no reason for them to.

You'll know the recipe is a success if, by this point, your dog is in the kitchen, circling your legs while you try to cook. Bonus points for being stared at longingly with big ol' puppydog eyes. After the biscuits come out of the oven, let them cool adequately. Then reward your pup for being so good.
