80: Mongolian Delight from Loving Hut
Ah, the curse of middle-age. For one fella we know, it's meant forsaking all meat during daylight hours in a desperate attempt to lower cholesterol. It's worked -- in large part because our friend has discovered the vegan joys of Loving Hut, particularly his favorite dish -- Mongolian Delight.
Truly, take a look at that picture and tell us that isn't meat. Well, it isn't, no matter what you say -- those Loving Hut folks take their no-animal pledge very seriously. (In fact, you likely won't make it out the door without them begging you to take a vow of veganism.)
Spiced with Asian flavors and accented with onions and peppers, this dish has a kick and, swear to the Loving Hut gods, the "soy protein" has the consistency of beef.
