Friends and family swear you're a champion cook, but do you have the chops to make it on MasterChef, Season 4? My 103.9 Morning DJ and former MasterChef contestant Monti Carlo has partnered with Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Scottsdale (Sky Bridge Campus) to hold a MasterChef contest this coming Saturday, October 27 at 10 a.m.

Here's what you need to know:

Carlo is inviting 225 would-be MasterChef contestants to show up at Le Cordon Bleu on Saturday with a prepared dish to be served to a panel of judges. The dish may be plated on site, but there will be no stoves or ovens available for warming. Contestants must come prepared.

Once Carlo and her panel of judges have tasted every entry (now, THERE'S the real challenge), they will choose nine finalists, who will be given a Mystery Box Challenge to execute THAT SAME DAY. Those nine will be whittled down to three winners, and the top three will receive front-of-the-line passes to MasterChef's biggest casting day, held in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 3.

According to Carlo, the benefit to those who go through the final process is that they'll be getting valuable experience in presenting themselves and working under pressure -- two crucial requirements for making it on the show.

Lucky contestants with front-of-the-line passes won't have to stand in line for hours, which means two things: they'll look better and so will their food.

Please note: Le Cordon Bleu has space restrictions. Only contestants, not supportive friends and family, will be allowed inside.
