Phoenix's Ocotillo restaurant is kicking off its summer dinner series this Wednesday with a Caskwerks Distillery dinner featuring acclaimed mixologist Travis Nass. Diners will dig into four courses, including crispy hoisin pork belly, chilled rice noodles, pickles, peanuts, and lime paired with Pho Punch made with Caskwerks apple pie liquor, basil eau de vie, lime, and lapsang. Dinner costs $50 per person, and the event begins at 7 p.m. Reservations are recommended. For more information, visit Ocotillo's website. 



National Fried Chicken Day At Texaz Grill

This Wednesday is National Fried Chicken Day, and Phoenix's Texaz Grill is celebrating with a special deal. Diners can dig into half of the restaurant's famous Southern fried chicken, plus salad, potatoes, and hoe cakes for only $14. To create the signature dish, Texaz brines natural and antibiotic-free chicken for 24 hours, double-dips each piece in a house-made breading, then fries the chicken until it's golden brown. You might want to get to the restaurant early to get your fix, as the restaurant's fried chicken usually sells out. Someburros Celebrates National Fundido Day

Local chain Someburros is celebrating National Fundido Day this Friday with a deal. The restaurant's Pollo Fundido, is just $6 (normally $8.50) for one day only. Someburros' pollo fundido features marinated chunks of chicken breast wrapped in flour tortilla that are then deep fried and topped with jalapeno cream cheese, grated cheddar, and green onions. Market Street Kitchen Unveils Secret Book Club Cocktail Menu

North Scottsdale's Market Street Kitchen is shaking things up this summer with an "Secret Book Club" Cocktail Menu featuring handcrafted cocktails inspired by classic novels. All summer long, the restaurant is stirring up a Treasure Island-themed cocktail menu. Hidden inside actual copies of "Treasure Island" tucked into the bookcase behind the bar, you'll find the Secret Cocktail Menu, which features six cocktails such as the "Dead Man's Chest" and the "Yo-Ho-Ho, and a Bottle of Rum!" made with rum, genever, pisco, sherry, orgeat, lemon, and orange.
