From Grayhawk Golf Club, the public golf course that, in February, launched its very own food truck, comes a decidedly different and non-mobile place to dine: Isabella's Kitchen.

Located in North Scottsdale, across the street from the main entrance of the club, the new Italian-American restaurant, which opened yesterday, will feature house made pizzas and pastas as well as salads, sandwiches, and bruschetta along with a wine menu of California and Italian selections.

At the helm is executive chef Logan Stephenson. Recently the lead pasta cook at Locanda in San Francisco, Stephenson was also a sous chef at The Parlor Pizzeria, under chef Jared Porter, and at Noca, where he says then-chef Chris Curtiss introduced him to California Cuisine.

From Stephenson's menu, diners can expect starters such as Bella's Mac (made with housemade shells, cheddar cheese, ham, and breadcrumbs), a salad called The Greens that, "brings back the old school recipe for green goddess dressing," and bruschetta with goat cheese, prosciutto, and honeycomb. Main courses include handmade pastas like linguini and clams and hand-folded veal and pork filled ravioli, and eleven varieties of gourmet pizza.

In the style of an "Italian country bistro," the 4,400-square foot Isabella's Kitchen will feature fireside picnic tables on an outdoor patio overlooking Grayhawk's Talon course, an indoor/outdoor bar area, and a a 150-year-old Saguaro cactus.
