The Cost: Two appetizers and a round of three drinks came in just around twenty bucks.
The Conclusion: Four whole hours of relaxed pricing during the week is nearly unheard of around the Valley, and the good news is that at RnR the appetizers and drinks are worth every one of your hard-earned pennies.The drafts were cold and frosty, with a variety of domestic and premium beers. The wine was a consistent pour, with plenty of red, white and bubbly to choose from. The frozen margaritas were just as strong and respectable as Z'Tejas' face-planting variety, and we even saw a couple float by with splashes of Chambord. Both well and call liquors were also at half-price, so those of you out there with bottom of the barrel or mid-shelf tastes will be in good hands.
Several appetizer options were available for a flat 5 bucks, and included a variety of tacos to sliders, along with the intriguing animal fries and chicken lollipops. The lollipops were available in either buffalo or bbq flavor, and were a plump and delicious take on the traditional hot wing. They even came with a side of veggies and ranch for dipping.
The aforementioned animal fries were another messy but satisfying option. One pile of crisp fries topped with real cheese, pulled pork and bbq sauce. You will need a fork to consume this massive pile of blissful carbs and tender shredded meat, and it's likely that you'll still end up covered in bbq sauce, but it is totally worth it. And at just five bucks, you can get away with only minor guilt.Overall Grade: A
