Get ready to say a mouthful as the Scottsdale Culinary Institute changes its name to Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Maybe we should be excited--Julia Child, who was featured in the now-on-DVD movie Julie & Julia, attended the Le Cordon Bleu school in Paris.

There are currently nearly 30 Le Cordon Bleu schools throughout the world, making Le Cordon Bleu the largest hospitality institution worldwide.

The former Scottsdale Culinary Institute is owned by Career Education Corporation, which owns 17 schools across the country, who will also be changing their names. It's all to make the schools unified and to create a better brand for the schools, similar to Culinary Institute of America, which also has several locations throughout the country.

Though the schools have already adopted new logos and are using the name currently, the schools will also hold special events January 14 to celebrate the name change. The date is  the anniversary of the first-ever cooking demonstration on an electric stove, which took place in Paris in 1895.
