Looking for a way to walk off all those eats from the Phoenix Food Truck Festival? Why not peek into some cool spaces nearby courtesy of the First Annual Evans Churchill Interesting Interiors Tour -- after all, the home of Valley legend and Barrio Cafe chef and owner Silvana Salcido Esparza is on the list.
"It's a Sears Catalog home," Esparza tells me, "and from 1912 with a basement. Of course, there's original art on the walls and a mural by Lalo Cota, Angel Diaz, and Nomas in my kitchen."
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, October 22, the casa-curious can tour the interior of Esparza's home and a dozen other urban properties, including residences ranging from renovated Territorial Craftsman bungalows to new in-fill urban loft apartments, in the Evans Churchill Neighborhood in Downtown Phoenix for ten bucks, with proceeds going to the Evans Churchill Community Association.
Get your tickets in advance here or the day of the tour at MADE Art Boutique and the Phoenix Public Market.
