Hey there, super busy weekend. It's nice to see you!
It's another packed Phoenix weekend. Not only will every Irish (and not so Irish) bar in the city be partying hard this Saturday, but the Superstition Farms Food Truck Festival and the sneak peek at the brand new Postino Gilbert are also happening this Saturday.
Eat This -- 24K Brunch at The Mint -- Scottsdale's 7000 sq. ft. "Ultra Lounge" and restaurant will be debuting their brand spanking new 24K brunch this Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. -- which means you'll have plenty of time to sleep in. Chow down on brunch entrees including pulled pork Benedict, biscuits and gravy, and Nutella French toast. I'll be there nursing my St. Patty's Day hangover with a $5 Bacon Bloody and a Grand Marnier cinnamon roll.
Drink This -- The Green Smoothie from Play, Eat, Grow -- I'm sure that you are already planning on drinking a ton of car bombs and pints of green beer, so instead of the normally booze-filled treat in this spot, I suggest you drink a smoothie. A green smoothie. This recipe is great and has plenty of fruit and protein to sustain you through all of your day drinking plans. It should even help with that Sunday hangover if you find it too difficult to drag yourself out of bed for brunch.
Bake This -- Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes -- You just can't beat the combination of Guinness chocolate cake, chocolate Jameson ganache, and Bailey's buttercream icing. Whip up a batch of these adult cupcakes and then bring them to your already drunk friends around 3 p.m. on Saturday. You'll be more popular than St. Patrick himself!
