Pizza People Pub Today through Sunday, January 12

This week, the Pizza People Pub will celebrating its official grand opening with seven days of events and food and drink specials. Today through Sunday, you can head to the midtown restaurant, located in the space formerly occupied by Cheuvront wine bar, to score $5 U-Call-It signature pizzas, salads, and burgers. Bootleggers Scottsdale Today

Moonshine has come a long way since its illicit beginnings in the Appalachians. Once produced and distributed almost always illegally, the high-proof distilled spirit is now en vogue. Don't believe us? Then you probably haven't tried the homemade apple pie moonshine at Bootleggers. The good news for the uninitiated is that the restaurant will host a five course moonshine-paired dinner tonight. The menu -- created by executive chefs Matt Carter and James Fox -- features shaved Brussels sprouts salad, fried chicken thigh, and soy glazed St. Louis ribs. The dinner, which will be at the Scottsdale location, costs $50 a person. Call 480-404-9984 for a reservation.

Four Peaks Tap and Grill Tuesday, January 7

Tuesday marks the 10-year anniversary of Four Peaks Tap and Grill in North Scottsdale. To celebrate, the brewpub will serve specialty beers on tap as soon as the doors open at 11 a.m. Expect Double Red Ale on Cask, Cherry Baltic Porter, and Bourbon Barrel Aged Raj IPA. GIft card and merchandise giveaways will take place throughout the day and the restaurant will be serving a special menu, to be announced. Live music from Mark Zubia & Emmett DeGuvera, Roger Clyne, and The Senators will begin at 3:30 p.m. For more details visit the Facebook event page.

Cowboy Ciao Tuesday, December 7

Bourbon fans, listen up. Angel's Envy Bourbon, a small-batch artisan bourbon, is teaming up with Cowboy Ciao head mixologist Alexa Bowler for a three-course cocktail-paired dinner Tuesday. Each of the small plates will be paired with an Angel's Envy Bourbon Port Cask Finish drink, and Angel's Envy representatives will be available to answer questions about bourbon. The dinner costs $45 a person and begins at 6 p.m. Reservations are required. Call 480-946-3111.

Wright's at The Arizona Biltmore Thursday, January 9

Fans of buttery Napa Valley Chardonnays won't want to miss this wine-tasting dinner, which features St. Helena's Rombauer winery. Though best-known for its Chardonnays, the winery also offers easy to enjoy Cabernet Sauvignons, Zinfandel, and Merlots. The dinner Thursday will include four to six courses created by Arizona Biltmore executive chef Gordon Maybury and chef de cuisine Bryan Gorton, each paired with a Rombauer wine. The winemaker will be on hand to talk about the wine, answer questions and more. The event starts at 7 p.m. and costs $95 a person.
