After closing for five months, the romantic restaurant at the Farm at South Mountain. Quiessence, has finally re-opened. It's got a new chef, sous chef, management, and menu. In keeping with the farm-to-table concept the menu includes family-style "Farm Spreads" such as housemade charcuterie, a selection of seasonal vegetables from Maya's Garden and roasted bone marrow with luge. For the main course, there is grilled Mediterranean sea bass, grilled pork chop, or brick oven braised lamb. You can view the entire menu here.
Burger Shoppe
Head to this West Valley joint for a guilty pleasure of epic proportions. In addition to burgers (of course), Burger Shoppe also serves a selection of Mexican eats, fish and chips and even gyros. But the most unique offering of all is their pastrami burrito. Order one and you'll get a burrito stuffed to the max with pastrami meat complemented by just a small squirt of mustard and a few pickles. Pastrami fans may never look at their sandwiches the same again.
